I use a 5-point system to assign review scores. Each point is represented by a cup of rice 🍚. In the Philippines (and most of Asia), we partner every food with rice. If the food is delicious, then we tend to eat more rice.
- 5 cups (Excellent): a must-play game that influenced how I view video games through its technical execution and narrative design.
- 4 cups (Great): a game that has impressed me and a good highlight of its genre. Not always game-changing but has solid execution.
- 3 cups (Okay): not a bad game to play. Can it still be better? Yes! I walked away happy playing the game but it's not that memorable.
- 2 cups (Mediocre): unremarkable game and not a time well spent. You can still play this game to pass time, but there are better options.
- 1 cup (Bad): I wish I didn't play this game, and I wouldn't actively recommend it to my peers. Terrible waste of time and money.
At the end of each review, I also post my play time, gaming platform, and if I completed all achievements / trophies in the game (Platinum 🏆).
